Like I wrote yesterday, I was one week behind with the challenges on 'textile challenge' so this week I did two. The challenge was to drop everything you were doing, go to an non-quilting area in your home, grab the first suitable object which could be used on an ATC, choose four additional materials and create an ATC with them, within twenty minutes. When reading the message I was at my desk, so I opened the top desk drawer and found a box of colored paperclips (? do you call them this in english?). So, my focal point became a red paperclip. I then found a piece of coarse fabric that was hand printed with a hand made stamp (with loops of rope), followed the lines with black thread and hand sewed my paperclip on it. It took 24 minutes to make it including knocking over a box of thread and picking it off the floor (have cat). I like the way the black lines echo the paperclip, it is totally different from my other work.

Heel goed gevonden Margeeth!
yes we call this a paperclip in English too. I came to see this after looking at your larger piece. Wonderful spin off it is too. I like the design here and there as well.
