CYBER FYBER is een tentoonstelling van internationale fiber-art die zal plaatsvinden van 8 tot en met 20 january 2009 in Gallery 80808/Vista Studios, Columbia, South Carolina, USA.
Deze tentoonstelling is bedacht door Susan Lenz, en zal de nadruk leggen op de wereldwijde internetgemeenschap van fiber-kunstenaars. De tentoonstelling zal bestaan uit drie delen: geruilde ATCs (Artist Trading Cards )en fiber postcards; en het werk van verschillende uitgenodigde kunstenaars. Susan Lenz doet verslag van CYBER FYBER op een blog.
En laat ik nou net een hele stapel ATC's gemaakt hebben. Dus ik heb haar een mailtje gestuurd en een ATC met haar geruild. Gisteren lag de ATC die ik van Susan heb gekregen bij de post (het is nr 27):
CYBER FYBER is an exhibition of international fiber art scheduled for January 8th through 20th, 2009 at Gallery 80808/Vista Studios, 808 Lady Street in downtown Columbia, South Carolina, USA. The brainchild of Susan Lenz, this exhibit will focus on the supportive, global community of fiber artists with whom Susan regularly shares new techniques, contemporary approaches to textiles, and finished work by Internet websites and blogs. The exhibition will include three primary areas: Fiber ATCs (Artist Trading Cards); fiber postcards; and the work of several invited artists. The exhibition will also include FIBER DAY and ATC trading day. From the beginning, Susan Lenz is documenting CYBER FYBER on a blog/journal.
And I happened to have just made a big stack of ATC's, one of which I loved to trade with Susan for one of her amazing ATC's. So I did and yesterday Susans ATC arrived in the mail (it's nr 27). Even the back is worth viewing.
