This ATC I made for Lynn:
Het is een papieren ATC, gemaakt met afgeweekte postzegels, wat stukjes stof, wat fibers en een paar pailletjes. Ik heb hem speciaal voor haar gemaakt omdat ze er eigenlijk eentje had gekozen die al lang weg was (moet toch echt mijn fotosite wat duidelijker maken), dus toen heb ik op precies dezelfde manier een nieuwe voor haar gemaakt.It is a paper ATC made with dutch stamps, some fabrics, some fibers and some odd stuff. I made it especially for her, because she liked some ATC's I made years ago, using stamps. She mailed that they showed her about my country. Unfortunately they were traded years ago, so I made a new one for her.

Ze heeft hem met de hand, in de auto zitten naaien terwijl ze half Amerika doorcrosste. Erg knap, ik word al misselijk bij het idee (van handwerken in de auto dan, niet van door half Amerika rijden).She did it by hand while traveling by car throught about half America. I am impressed that she could do that, I get nauseous by just the idea of doing handstitching in a driving car.
Gisteren kwam ook de quiltnieuws binnen en tot mijn verrassing stond ik op het prikbord, kijk maar, met de quilt die ik vorig jaar maakte voor de pasgeboren dochter van de meester van oudste:
Yesterday the magazine of our dutch guild was in the mail and look, I have a quilt in it. It is the quilt I made last year for the newborn babygirl of my sons teacher.
(ik had een foto gestuurd n.a.v. een oproep voor quilts die je samen met kinderen kunt maken)

What a great idea to use stamps on ATCs. I don't collect stamps, and sometimes they are so pretty, I hate to throw them away. I also like how you embellish your quilts by putting embellishments over the binding. I'm going to have to remember both those tips!

Glad you like mine as well. It is fun for me to stitch in the car, and glad it does not bother me at all, in fact it makes the very long drives more bearable.

Are you at all interested in joining a small group of us who have been making ABC ATCs and swapping them among ourselves for a while and are getting ready to start a new group?
I do not yet know the theme of the next round (to be decided by the group) but we are looking for a few new members. Let me know if you are interested.
