Luchtpost

Dit quiltje maakte ik voor het thema "verbondenheid" voor de groep ARTfor12. De achtergrond is een leklapje van het sneeuwverven waar ik dik gouddraad in rechte lijnen op heb genaaid. De etiketjes met de vliegtuigen zaten voorop monstertjes zijde uit Hong Kong die ik van iemand had gekregen. Het gaat daarbij natuurlijk om de zijde, maar ik vond het wel grappig om de etiketjes voor dit quiltje te gebruiken. Om het geheel wat meer bij elkaar te trekken heb ik er nog overheen gestempeld met lila parelmoerverf.

This quiltlet I did for the topic "connectedness" for the group ARTfor12. The background fabric is one of the fabrics I put on the bottom of one of my snowdying buckets. I sewed thick gold coloured thread on it and some labels that came with silk samples from Hong Kong. Of course the important thing of those samples is the silk, but I thoght it appropriate to use them for this little quilt. When the quilt was finished, I added some lilac paint using one of my home made stamps.
